About The Space
The Vision and Space
The spiritgrow centre is a unique 'island' allowing people to grow, influence society, and teach personal mastery and social leadership.
Entry Foyer and Reception
The Spiritgrow entry is an expression of its ethos. The soft curved feature wall expresses the flowing spiritual ambience of our centre. An array of soft pastel logo colours emboss the feature 'curve wall' its curvature symbolizing the spiral of growth that characterizes all of Spiritrow's programs. The energizing and de-stressing fragrance wafting at the reception area combines with the soothing sounds of relaxing niggun and chant that beckons you to explore deeper within.
Sarah Shimshoni library
When a soul is taken from the world prematurely; when the soul is that of a young mother who sacrifices her life so that the child can come into the world; when that young woman leaves a legacy of motivation and spirituality - then nothing less than a library of insight can do justice to her name. That is why the Spritigrow library is in the name of Sara Shimshoni.
Dedicated in her name by her school friends led by Miriam Farkas, the library is uniquely focused on the combination of wellness, spirituality, physics and Jewish tradition - the features that characterize Spiritgrow. Its decor is also punctuated and beautifully enhanced by the creative spiritual artwork of Jakki Tiepermann whose blend of Kabbalistic, indigenous, and sci-fi motifs make for a wondrously analytical contemplation. Likewise, the powerful sculptures by local sculptor John Milder depict flowing forms of life in motion.
The Meditation centre
The Sandra Bardas Meditation Centre is Melbourne's only Jewish meditation facility and naturally it is part of Spiritgrow. We are about depth and meaning. Meditation provides a pathway to both, as well as wellness and healing. It is a quiet, sound- free, tranquil island amidst the hustle and bustle of daily stress and pressure of our lives.
Its stress-management programs and Kabbalah focus sessions have made a deep impact on participants. Its soft, clean, uncluttered space draws a concomitant posture in those who have discovered this spiritual gem in their lives.
The Cuisine Art Space
Designed specifically for demonstration and learning the spiritual implications fo food and eating, our Cuisine-Art space displays a prominent colorful photographic montage of the Jerusalem 'shuk' (market) spices amidst the Israeli desert caravan route that brought the spices to the spiritual capital of the world.
The domestic kitchen makes the space friendly and the overhead mirrors make it easy for all participants to observe the techniques and processes that the demonstration chef instructs for health, taste, and spiritual balance.
The Wall
Life is a corridor between spiritual chambers of higher realms. This motif is reproduced in the famous Spiritgrow corridor - an elongated ante-chamber that is punctuated by its murals of the Western Wall - the Kottel. Walking down this corridor is a stroll alongside the Kottel itself and to observe the amazing range of visitors from all parts of the world, all nationalities and cultures, all connected through the Shechina, the Divine feminine side of the Cosmos - the source of Jewish consciousness.
These beautiful photographic collages designed by our very good friend and internationally acclaimed photographer, Emmanuel Santos, are complemented by the mystical artwork on the 'Kabbalistic side' of the corridor - the series of Tanya - based concepts by celebrated artist Victor Majzner, creatively depicting the nature of human personality and the Cosmos.
This engaging Spiritgrow corridor also reveals a more modernistic artist rendition of the Tree of Life and its manifestation in the four world (Olamot) of creation - designed by USA based, Australian educated, Yitzhak Moully.
The Multi-Purpose Space
Designed in reductionist minimalist form, the power of Spiritgrow emerges through the strong logo colours of the walls and clean lines. This space facilitates activities including lectures, dinners, seminars, workshops, J-Yoga, Jewish dance, and support encounter programs. Its versatility and pragmatism reflect the multi-faceted nature of spiritual expression that is Spiritgrow.
Unobtrusively positioned is Spiritgrow's signature art piece - an original oil by world famous Kabbalistic artist, Baruch Nachson of Israel, whose rendition of The Jewish Meditator provides a full afternoon analysis of its exquisite detailing and storyline.
This space is not just an auditorium - it is the Spiritgrow experience.
